Gil Lopez
Guitar
Guitar player Gil Lopez started to play the guitar at the age of 5 and learned a
lot from his father, flamenco guitarist José "El Catalan" Lopez. Further studies:
Flamenco/Rumba under Miguel Perez (Sevilla), Jazz/Fusion under Patrick Sedoc and
Nick Vos, Rock/Blues/Funk through self studies.
Together with Jeroen van Hoof he founded Subwave Studio in Amsterdam, where he
recorded the album "Hold you once again" for Gaia Nostra. He played and recorded
together with First Avenue, Cheb Ashraf, and Bayuba Cante. He also worked as a
freelance studio musician for Bolland & Bolland, VJR Studio, Vinzzent and Jaap
Eggermond (commercials). As a flamenco guitarist for Solera, Curra Suarez, many
other flamenco artists and during workshops workshops palmas flamencas.

Nop Ton
Drums
After years of working with different bands, drummer Nop Ton starts to form the
band First Avenue together with Robbie Valentine. Shortly after Gil Lopez joined
them and together they released 2 albums in Europe and Japan. He was taught by
David Weiss and Fred van Vloten. Nop has worked with many different artists and
recorded in the Bolland Studio's. Among them "Hard Blauw" and Robbie Valentine.
Besides being a drummer, he owns a sound company called NLS
(www.nlsaudio.nl).
He has worked with Roos and Eva for years and was co-producing the album
"Hold you once again". Together with them and Gil Lopez, he's working on the
new repertoire for the theatre production of Gaia Nostra. |

Jonathan Ihlenfeld Cunado
Bass
Bassplayer and composer Jonathan Ihlenfeld Cunado was born in Germany and grew
up in Spain. During his childhood he was taught by many guitar and flamenco
teachers. At the age of 15 he discovered the bass and proceeded his studies
under Ruud Ouwehand and Davy de Wit at the Conservatory of Enschede where he
graduated cum laude. At the moment he's studying for his masters degree in
Amsterdam. He founded the project Join Dilaja and entered the International
Jazzfestival of Sanlucar de Barrameda in Spain. After his bachelors degree
he got an endorsement deal with Glockenklang
(www.glockenklang.de) and Windmill
(www.windmill-guitars.com).
Jonathan has played all over Europe together with the following bands and artists
like Jhana Blues, Join Dilaja, Papillion, Funky Triptet, a.o. Since January 2008
he's playing with Gaia Nostra.
